Hello Friends! We are Team Willman - Trinity Weatherman and Evan Williams, and we’re thrilled to be on the 2018 Homecoming Court for SAVE Inc. Although we are both Kansas City transplants, we have fallen in love with our adopted city! Two of the things we’ve come to appreciate most are the people and the incredible culture of giving back to the community. We have enjoyed being involved in AIDS Walk Kansas City, the Mid-America Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and Netsmart Technologies’ Every Day Matters program. Working in the healthcare industry, we both have personal and professional connections to individuals suffering with mental illness, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS. We understand that the road to recovery begins with a safe, stable home, which is why we feel passionate about the mission of SAVE, Inc.
Together we can help make housing available to those most in need, because housing IS healthcare!
Hello Everyone! Philipp and Miriam here. We are so excited to help raise money for one of Kansas City’s most pivotal non-profits by running for Save Inc.’s 2018 Homecoming King and Queen!
As owners of Drip IV Therapy and Ideal Health, we work every day to help our patients become healthy, happy and whole. We truly believe health starts in the home. Environment directly influences physical, mental and emotional well being, so having a safe warm place to live makes all of the difference. SAVE Inc. provides support for people trying avoiding homelessness due to challenging life circumstances like living with HIV/AIDS, struggling with mental illness, or overcoming substance abuse.
Growing up in Kansas City has instilled in both of us a passion for returning as much love to this city as it has shown us over the years. It’s a big small town, but with a HUGE heart and we are so honored to be able to help SAVE Inc. raise money and awareness for all the people it helps in our beloved city!
Hello Kansas City, it’s the “St. Joe guys”, Todd Joe and Jason Karns. We are honored to be 2018 “Through the Looking Glass” Homecoming candidates for SAVE, Inc. Together for 10 years, we both work and live in St Joseph. Todd owns an Independent Health Insurance Agency and Jason is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Being involved in the health-care industry, we understand the struggles and realize the obstacles faced by persons served by SAVE, Inc. Todd is also a Member of the Board for SAVE, Inc.
Recently new to the SAVE, Inc community, we are excited to support the Mission of SAVE. We are ready to roll up our sleeves, get involved, and raise awareness and funds to assist those in need. We care about the individuals who require the help from SAVE, Inc. because they remind us of those we love and care about: our friends, our kids, and our community.
Welcome, Friends! We’re so happy you’re here! Tom and I have been buds for 12 or so years. Tom hails from Atchison, Kansas and I’m originally from Hays, Kansas, although we’ve both called Kansas City home for 20+ years. We’ve both served on the Board of SAVE, Inc. for several years and it’s safe to say we both love this organization, what it stands for, and the amazing impact it has on our community on a daily basis. When not volunteering or raising funds for SAVE, we manage to keep ourselves busy. Tom works as a realtor with the LOCATE KC team at Reece Nichols between world travel excursions (just ask him how many countries he’s visited in the last 12 months!). Tom also enjoys spending time with his partner, Kevin Bryant, two crazy dogs and twenty year-old old cat. I recently retired from a 17-year career as a defense attorney to pursue a completely different opportunity—I am now the proud publisher of Leawood Lifestyle, a monthly magazine dedicated to celebrating the amazing community of Leawood, Kansas. My husband TJ and our two girls keep me plenty busy, too. Tom and I are equally passionate about Kansas City and making a difference in our community and we are honored to be chosen to run for SAVE's Homecoming Court this year.
